Highway shooting near Big Horn sends one to the hospital; Officials seeking information on gunman

(Big Horn, Wyo.) — A male driver was shot from another vehicle on Saturday night near Big Horn at 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The Sheridan County Sheriffs Office responded to the shooting incident Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. The incident occurred near milepost 8 on HWY 335.

According to information reported to the Sheriff’s Office, a gun was fired from a unknown vehicle while passing another vehicle following a driving-related confrontation on HWY 335.

The male driver of the vehicle being passed was struck in the neck, and subsequently transported to the Sheridan Hospital by Rocky Mountain Ambulance, where he was treated and expected to recover.
